New...

Well, I need to update more recent drawings, but I haven't scanned them yet. In the meantime, I have just created some photo things. The images are uncropped and unchanged, but they are repeated 4 times in each piece. Would love any feedback...

Color and light and movement and strangeness. Looking at scenes I have seen before in a new dimension. Wish they were flashing on the wall of the porch instead the small screen. Has this been done before? Such creativity.

Surprising images - but they shouldn't be - rich explorations following the mandala theme of your recent drawings/paintings! I am especially drawn to the first one and the last one, as the strict symmetry (which often makes me feel claustrophobic) isn't as obvious in the surrounding spaces of these works. And, of course, your photographic sources are so rich in themselves.

My sense about the recent mandala work is that it is, at least partially, an adventure/exploration in your seeing patterns differently than you have in the past, and experimenting with a different kind of wholeness you're beginning to recognize in your visual field. All very exciting to watch unfold. I look forward to each surprising step you make.

Oh! yes Brooks - I can see them projected each one in sequence fading in and then out into the next one - all the symmetries will match up!

Very interesting direction Honor. Would be curious to know more about the evolution of it, or creative genesis. There is a certain (spiritual) energy that is radiated and also some sacred geometry stuff going on which is recognizable.......as well as other familiar forms. Really enjoy the lushness of the greens which though I have seen similar techniques applied before, does I think help give some of this work its uniqueness, and of course, is very you.
