making way
Well, I think it's about finished. Now I need to research and find out the best way to get a coat of varnish on it to protect and liven it up some... I'm still not sure which way is up and like it different ways for different reasons...

Abstract Progress...
This abstract painting is very different from other painting I have done. I have to surrender to the paint and the process and the moment. The ego has to get out of the way completely, because there is no planned outcome. The moment takes over and I have to respond in each moment to the surface, how the paint is drying, how the shapes and colors relate to each other. It is a journey without a destination. Hopefully it will take a pleasing form and inform me when it is complete...

Water...
Yesterday evening I was talking with friends about a dream I had recently. In the dream I said,
"I have been in every body of water on the planet."This morning early, I saw that a new lily was coming in my pond, but not yet open. Now, a couple hours later, the sun has peeked out and the lily has opened. Since my goldfish usually consume the lily within a day, I thought to capture it this morning.
