My buddy Joe and I took a great hike today from Patterson Gap up toward Carter Gap, to check out a fire line the FS dug for a recent wildfire. I came upon the most beautiful mushrooms that I suspected were "chicken of the woods" or "sulfur shelf." From what I can find on the web, that's what it is, and I'm gonna cook it up in a few minutes and eat it (yum.....). So if you don't see a post for a few days...
Also gonna eat some yummy beans from my garden and a tiny cuke I picked early 'cause I really wanted one. This mushroom is so beautiful, I just had to share it.

one more...
back to work...
OK, I'm back from Atlanta for the foreseeable future and intend to paint regularly now. These two (I seem to be in a mode of doing two quick paintings of each arrangement - the first on masonite, second on wood) are of an object that I created several years back, when I lived in Brooklyn. It was an early piece in the beginning of an emerging theme in my work.
